Wait one min. Turn off- leave for 10 secs. Start engine. As above but leave for one minute until power latch has finished. I prefer to have car at operating temperature first though, a)start engine & leave until fan cuts in (will take 10-15minutes) b)switch off one minute. c)switch ignition on (dont start) one minute. d)switch off one minute.
Points. 2. Oct 1, 2011. #1. Hi, I have a 2006 Stilo 1.9JTD that has the ABS warning light coming on. Sometimes it will drive for some time without coming up, other times it will come on almost straight away. A friend has run a diagnostic and the read out was: 'C1037 LH Front Phonic Wheel. C1036 205036 MEM'.
My engine fault light came on today, The engine was coughing and spluttering (seemed to be firing on only 3 cylinders) RAC confirmed coil in number 3 cylinder faulty by changing coil over with cylinder 4 coil and the fault went to cylinder 4 misfire. Does anyone know how much for a new coil
Mar 17, 2008. #1. Here's my latest fault for my 2005 Stilo 1.6 Xbox edition. I currently have a problem with my fuse box next to the battery, this means if you move the fuse box around the full beams flash on and off. The other problem I also get is that the engine can sometimes still be running even with the key out of the ignition.

It will probably clear itself aftr a few restarts if the fault is a one off or you could clear the DTC and see if it reappears. For a schematic have a look here but this isn't a Stilo.
I'm at my wit's end so welcome all serious suggestions. For the past 4 months I've been getting the dreaded ASR, Alternator, loose connection fault in my 2003 Stilo 16v 1.6. So far I have: -Replaced the ECU with a new one -Checked all Earths -Checked battery voltage and alternator charge
Mar 16, 2007. #2. I notice you've owned the car since new. This puts you in a very strong position to claim under standard trading laws as clearly a gearbox shouldn't fail at such low mileage (and to be a relatively common fault). The fact the car is out of warranty would have little bearing in this instance.
2- With my Stilo running sweet and back on the road, it was time to revisit another Stilo, this one with Selespeed problems. The pump had not been running and the battery was flat. Those and other electrical problems were solved by cleaning/drying the fusebox behind the battery - that was Friday evening. There was an intermittent Turbine Speed
