Despite a few niggles like airbox sealing, air filter access (fixed on the new design), and fuel pumps, that 1090/1190/1290 platform is a solid bike. I’d have no issues putting my money down on one. The 790/890 on the other hand is a pile of garbage. The list of problems I’ve seen on these bikes is a mile long and growing by the day. I have owned 3 KTM's, 2 bmw's and 7 japanese bikes. 0 problem with the japanese brands, a lot of troubles with 1 bmw, small problems on 1 of my ktm's and a lot of problems on another of my ktm's. Bike: '23 Adventure S Problem/Question: Installed heated grips and everything went together pretty easily except for indexing the wires on the throttle side..that took some time to make sure it was correct. Turn the key to activate the grips in the display but didn't find heated grip in any of the menus. Looked under Settings and under Motorcycle.
